Elderly Telecare

Our telecare systems are more than just a means of 24/7 monitoring that allows elderly emergency calls to be dealt with. It’s the freedom to continue living your life independently, without having to constantly rely on somebody to be around, while at the same time giving you the assurance that assistance is always close at hand. Our dedication and passion allows us to offer our clients a level of assistance that can only usually be provided by a group living scheme – either in a retirement village or a nursing home.

The word “telecare” literally means the remote provision of care, where the telecare unit acts as an enabler to a much wider range of traditional services. A social alarm is the most basic form of telecare. Clients will receive an easy to use panic button alarm that is small enough to carry around comfortably and comes with large and distinctive buttons. A modern telecare unit not only provides personal reassurance to the client, but also security (in the event of intruders, bogus callers, etc.), property protection (fires or floods) and prevention (fall management, heat stress, hypothermia).

Social alarm and telecare technology is used extensively and successfully in countries all over the world. The introduction of these systems dealt with a very real need in society and has allowed individuals to enjoy their independence instead of fearing an emergency, as well as given care centre staff members the opportunity to use their time more productively. Since its beginnigs in Europe and other parts of the world, the service offering has developed and greatly improved over the past 30 years to the point where this streamlined system is responsible for the care and safety of millions of clients. In the UK alone, there are approximately 1.5 million social alarms currently in use, which are monitored by 260 different response centres in the event of elderly emergency calls.

Testimonials
"I felt my wife was slipping into unconsciousness. It was touch and go. Had it not been for Call4Care she would not be here today. The medics stabilized her before taking her by ambulance to hospital. Today she’s baking me a cake!!"
